Feeling a little stiff in the joints? Grey hairs setting in? Well, come on over and get yourself revivified! Geoff Muldaur, one of the true living masters of American home-grown music, is joined on our stage by The Fountain of Youth for a real down-home jug band extravaganza that's guaranteed to give you a spring in your step -- if not eternal youth.

Geoff Muldaur is known for making traditional gospel, folk, and blues styles his own in an unusual process he calls "Muldaurizing," wrapping his polished guitar playing and riveting, otherworldly voice around unusually crafted interpretations of classic, often obscure, American material as well as his own unique compositions. Geoff began his career in Cambridge, Massachusetts in the '60s, recording and touring with the legendary Jim Kweskin Jug Band, then joined Paul Butterfield, applying his soulful voice and masterful guitar to Chicago blues. He has recorded 10 solo albums, most recently Secret Handshake and Password (HighTone).

The Fountain of Youth features Geoff's old Kweskin Jug Band-mate, Fritz Richmond, probably the world's greatest living jug and washtub bass player. Flatpicking maestro Eric Thompson and fiery fiddler Suzy Thompson, two of the most versatile stars in the Bay Area folk music pantheon, add their verve and finesse. Rounding out the ensemble is the ever-dapper Tony Marcus, a dazzling multi-instrumentalist and bass singer well-known from his indispensible contributions to the groups Cats & Jammers, Leftover Dreams, and the Cheap Suit Serenaders.
