Jabe Beyer opens
Door 7:30pm, Music 8:00pm | Purchase advance tickets: $15.50

With her superb poetic imagination and alluring, rootsy mixture of folk, gospel, and country styles, it's hard to believe that Boston singer-songwriter Kris Delmhorst picked up her first guitar only seven years ago. In these few short years, she has certainly made her presence felt in the acoustic music scene, winning first place at the 2001 Telluride Bluegrass Festival's prestigious Troubadour Competition and three nominations in the 2002 Boston Music Awards, including best singer-songwriter album for the recording, Five Stories. Whether she's singing delicate ballads, back-porch foot-stompers, or midnight lullabies, Kris's charm, intelligence and warm, expressive voice illuminate her music with grace. Tonight, Kris features numbers from her new album, Songs for a Hurricane (Signature). Kris's special guest, Jabe Beyer, self-described "Locomotive Cow Punk High Velocity Roots Songster" opens the evening.
