bluegrass revue to aid stricken colleague

Lynn Morris, three-time IBMA female vocalist of the year, underwent double knee replacement surgery in early April. Pursuant to the surgery, she suffered a stroke which has affected her speech and motor functions. She thankfully did not suffer any paralysis or loss of cognitive ability from the stroke, but her recovery will involve a protracted period of various therapies which are not covered by her insurance. She and her husband Marshall, also a member of the Lynn Morris Band, will be unable to work for several months, and will miss the busy festival season this year. This benefit at the Freight is one of several being held around the country to raise money to help cover medical and living expenses during Lynn's recovery.
