Born in Brattleboro, Vermont, Louise Taylor got her first guitar at age 12,
and by 15 she was on the road, in what became a seven-year journey
hitchhiking and playing on street corners around the country. Along the way,
she honed her skills as a writer, singer and player of power and grace, and
earned her stripes as a master storyteller. On stage, this modern troubadour
weaves strongly poetic tales from the deepest parts of the heart with her
smoky alto voice, deft guitar work, and a fiery, foot-stomping presence,
inviting listeners on a unique, sensuous and deeply personal path. Louise is
a well-known figure in the New England singer-songwriter scene and has
released several albums, most recently Written in Red (Signature). |
