Dale and Dan Zola unearth poetry's oral roots as they lead a celebration of
the works of Pablo Neruda, Mary Oliver, Rainer Maria Rilke, D. H. Lawrence,
W. B. Yeats, and Billy Collins -- poets who express the depth of the human
heart with powerful images, evocative language, and tenderness towards life.
Presenters Doug von Koss, Chetana Karel, Maya Spector, Carolyn Zola, and Ray
Gatchalian, joined by Ernie Mansfield on flute, Claude Palmer on oud (Middle
Eastern lute), Brad van Cleave on tabla, and Randy Rood on didgeridoo, weave
a lush tapestry of poetry and music taking us to otherwise inaccessible
places within our own hearts. |
