Hailing from Manchester, England, Clive Gregson is a consummate songwriter whose brilliant guitar playing and unadorned vocals create an emotionally powerful and vital sound. First gaining attention as a member of Richard Thompson's band, in the mid-1980s he formed a partnership with singer, Christine Collister. Described by Rolling Stone magazine as the "state of the art in British folk-rock" the duo released four chart-topping albums and toured internationally. Clive's song, first sung by Christine, "It's All Just Talk," became an international classic and part of the repetoire of countless performers. Since those days Clive has settled in Nashville, continuing his songwriting career and establishing himself as a solo artist. Tonight, Clive includes songs from his recent album Happy Hour (Compass), a collection of originals full of his characteristic wit and romance. |
